WRINKLE REDUCTION

The active ingredient in Botox® is a purified protein called Botulinum Toxin A. When injected into a muscle, Botox® acts as a muscle relaxant, this resultant muscle weakening relaxes wrinkles and leads to a smoothening and rejuvenation of the skin.

An initial consultation is available to allow us to find out about your particular needs and expectations. It also gives you the opportunity to ask any further questions and you have the option to undergo treatment at the same appointment. You will be under no obligation to proceed, but if you decide to go ahead with treatment a signed consent form will be required. The Botox® will then be administered to the predetermined areas. You may return to work and most activities straight away, but we will ask you to abide by a few simple post treatment guidelines.

Botox®  has an excellent safety record stretching back over two decades. It has been used since 1989 to treat various medical conditions, both in children and in adults. Additionally, it is currently the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure in the world with several million treatments globally each year.

The procedure is largely pain free, with the exception of mild discomfort which is experienced due to the small needle injection involved. You may notice some soreness in the injection site directly after the treatment, but this should subside quickly.

The effects of Botox® and Azzalure® are usually seen within 2 to 7 days. In some people, however, it can take as  long as 2 weeks.

It depends on the individual and the area treated. On averge botox last for approximately for 3  to 4 months. After several injections, however, most people find that the effects persist for longer.  Your treatment will be carefully monitored, and the interval between treatments adjusted  accordingly.

This can be discussed on an individual basis but Botox® can be used to treat frown lines,  forehead lines, crow's feet, brow lift, bunny lines and a gummy smile.
